SCG’s green space located right at the entrance of the Vietnam Green Festival is an impressive ‘check-in’ place with green products, attracting people to experience and participate in the most exciting activities of the festival.

 

As a leading enterprise in the construction materials, petrochemicals and packaging industry in Southeast Asia, SCG Group brought to the Green Vietnam Festival “homemade” green products.

SCG Group’s Paper Space

The entire SCG display space is made of environmentally friendly paper and paper boxes produced by SCG itself.

What’s special is that even the tables and chairs used at the festival space are all made from paper.

The tables and chairs on the main stage of the festival are also surprising products for festival participants, as they are all green products made from paper.

 

When coming to SCG’s space, people will experience and learn about green products, recycled products and environmentally friendly products from SCG’s member companies that are being produced and supplied to the market.

To create more attractive playgrounds for people, SCG also organizes a lottery drawing program at the end of each day with prizes being recycled products from SCG, with the hope that consumers will join hands to promote recycling and reuse in the circular economy.

Stopping by SCG’s space, after learning more, Nguyen Phuong Tuyen (student of Nguyen Tat Thanh University) scanned the QR code on her phone to interact with SCG.

After answering a few simple questions about SCG products and her own “green living” habits, Tuyen received useful recycled gift products such as hats, bags, etc. made from recycled materials.

“In the morning, I listened to SCG representatives share about the company’s sustainable development orientation, then directly experienced SCG products, which helped me learn a lot about the green production practices that businesses are doing in Vietnam,” Tuyen said.

 

SCG aims for comprehensive green development

Exchange with Youth OnlineMr. Chaturon Thipphiansak – Deputy General Director of SCG Vietnam Co., Ltd. – said that SCG’s exhibition space demonstrates the ESG (environment, society and transparent governance) orientation that the group has applied to move towards comprehensive green development.

SCG introduces unique green initiatives through a paper exhibition including backdrops, standees, display shelves and paper tables and chairs, displaying green products being applied in the market to help reduce CO₂ such as SCG Low Carbon Super cement, SCG color roof tiles, SCGC environmentally friendly polymer plastic or other products such as packaging made from PCR recycled plastic of Duy Tan Plastic, Tin Thanh Packaging.

These are member companies of SCG’s packaging industry. At the same time, SCG also shows its commitment to participating, sharing knowledge, connecting and inspiring the business community and young people.

 

 

“Our commitment is to always strive for research and development to create products and services that are more environmentally friendly and designed to reduce carbon emissions. We will strengthen public-private partnerships, expand cooperation with both government and industry stakeholders,” said Mr. Chaturon Thipphiansak.

SCG representative assessed that the Green Vietnam program also plays a role as a bridge between Goverment, businesses and communities. “We believe that the partnership between SCG and the press Youth will bring positive impacts, support greener communities and promote comprehensive green development for Vietnam,” said Mr. Chaturon Thipphiansak.
